A lovely beach of grey sand and plenty of small pebbles, with waves soaking the sand. Kourion Beach is around 17km west of Lemesos, within the British Sovereign Base Area.
Kourion, (Kourium, Curium) Beach is perfect if you are a ancient history buff and a sun worshiper, because this beach is right next to the ancient city of Curium, and its sanctuary of Apollo Hylates.

If you like dramatic, wind-swept coastlines, Kourion Beach might just be the place for you. Though the beach itself consists of sand, shingles and large stones, this place draws visitors from all over the island of Cyprus.
